Your journey to wellness is a lifelong project. We either are doing things to improve our wellness or sabotage it. I know ice cream isn’t my friend or helpful in my journey to wellness… but occasionally I give in to the impulse and suffer the consequences of my decision. In my case sense I’m lactose intolerant, which challenges my friends, co-workers and family who’s nose also suffer. I’m aware that it also feeds the dangerous candida yeast that lives in us and on us.
We are not just eating foods that hurts us, we are failing to eat the foods that would help our bodies heal, and fight the dangerous candida that we are feeding with our poor dietary choices. Eating refined sugar and processed foods contribute to the growth of Candida in our bodies. Candida infestation has unique characteristics that makes it dangerous and easy to recognize when you are infested. Candida can grow long, mold like tendrils that penetrate body tissues. The growth causes inflammation and cell damage. If you ever had a local yeast infection you know it doesn’t feel good! When this yeast invades your gut, they cause structural damage and widespread inflammation.
